Exactly and when you get ahead of your opposition its easier to do the 1% ers that help a side to win…scoring more goals is a bonus.
What gets me is Richmong players didn’t get any booze to drink out of the cup…they’re all such cheap bastards they assumed booze was already there!

As has been said Richmond went harder at the contest, dominated clearances it seemed to me and just scragged it forwards their way where they would run hard, pressure and get goals. Adelaide had absolutely no zip through the middle, didn’t try and pressure Richmond back so were never really in the contest. Nearly every one of Adelaides forward entries was a bomb onto their heads with easy pickings for defenders and Richmonds midfielders were always there to outnumber and sweep it out. To say Richmond won because of the umpiring is giving no credit to the team that worked harder and executed its gameplan to come away with a win.
If Essendon want to move forwards next year, this is how they have to play and if they can add in some cleaner ball movement and make use of the great forward line we have, even better.
