2020 trade spec part 3

I hear the position has recently become available :joy:

In all seriousness though, has done the miles at more than 1 club and has obviously been having some sort of involvement recently
It would seem a strange timing to sack D.R if we didnt have an idea already of who we are after

Pickers has his hands all over this. A Pickers strategy to a T. Can expect a Saturday HS exclusive in the lead up to the trade period. The only time he has ever deviated is when he got Gary back to Geelong. Dogs will 100% cave.

Apparently Seb Ross has been seen touring Tulla facilities.

I dont know what to think about this,
Is he any good?

Also wtf we are literally going after everyone lol

Thoughts on this trade?

Essendon
Out: 6, In: Dunkley

Western Bulldogs
Out: Dunkley
In: Treloar, picks 29, 44

Collingwood:
Out: Treloar
In: Pick 20

Adelaide:
Out: 20,29, 44
In: 6

Collingwood not getting value for Treloar but I honestly think a pick between 20-30 is all they will get for him. They need him off the books or else will exceed the salary cap potentially.

Dogs don’t want the high pick, just points.

@Speedy_Gonzales, in the last thread you said:

Been clarified on here points value doesn’t change if picks move back for NGA/FS scenarios

I know someone in the thread claimed that, but did anyone actually show proof? Because my understanding is that it is incorrect. Picks have the value of their positions when the bid is made is my understanding.

Id say we need to give more and Adelaide would want more, Pies probably want more too

Looks like Clinton Casey. He has aged so much after his highly successful leadership of Richmond.

Doggies wouldn’t have the salary cap space for Treloar surely. And if they’re not getting a saving on salary cap, would Collingwood really accept #20?

Finally, if you believe Bulldogs fans they’re not going to take any live picks in the draft (just NGA x2 + a F/S). So those later picks they’re getting are of limited value. #29 would be useful as it would replace their #48 with more points, but they don’t need #44.

If anything, they’d probably be willing to trade #48 out and not take #44. Realistically, you probably don’t need Adelaide as part of that trade, we could in that situation just split #6 to get a pick ~#20 and #29.

Until the tam actually turns it around then trade period is where we can cheer with confidence.

IIRC @WeekendAtBernies said so and how it has been in past

pick 7/8 to essendon for Saad
potentially something to Blues

Blues cant find someone to split 7.

I got clarification after my discussion with @Ants and i was incorrect. If Adelaide gets pick 2, the dogs pick 12 value will lower in points. Meaning the Dogs have even less point than we originally thought.

Pick 26 for Fanta to Blues?

My thoughts leading into FA & Trade period…

Players Out:

  • Joe FA - Pick 7
  • Fantasia to Port - Pick 26
  • Saad to Carlton - Future 1st pick

Picks Out:

  • Pick 6 & 7 to Adelaide - Pick 2 & 20 (assuming Crouch compo)

Players In:

  • Dunkley for Carlton’s Future 1st pick & Pick 26
  • Caldwell for Pick 20

Use Pick 2 to secure KPF (e.g. Logan MacDonald)
With Brand and Eyre coming in our KPP stocks are building…

Still require a KPF for now, whether we can utilize someone for 2years until then…

The HBF role I’m sure we can find a possible replacement for 12months from within/other clubs…

Pick 234. Pick 7 is absolutely what he is worth given the money they are allegedly throwing at him.
