2021 Mid Season Draft

Suckers for punishment

You have to think about how important it is to protect our emerging culture within the team.

Drafting and playing Stengle would be a bad message to give to the players. It would spit in the face or every bloke who is working his guts out to make a career. And worse, their mates in the team would be frustrated for them. It could drive a wedge between players and coaches/club.

Not worth it at all.

I canā€™t wait for the you meltdown when we donā€™t.

There is no chance we will take more than 1 pick. Talent is just not there. Hopefully we find a good role player.

Agreed. Iā€™m hoping that the clubs ahead of us focus on talls and leave us the top end of the small talent.

I donā€™t think we should take anyone

Yeah, but weā€™ll end up taking Randy McGrath, a 172cm Canadian back pocket instead.

Of course the talent is there. We just have to identify it.

Is the top end of the small talent like the most talented of the talentless?

But I was told there would be first round picks available and big body mids to save us.

McCluggage played for South Warrnambool seconds yesterday

Thatā€™s about AFL standard right?

I just donā€™t get this noise about no good players available for the MSD. There are literally a hundred utter duds running around the AFL each week that arenā€™t up to standard and would probably struggle to get a kick in the state leagues and conversely hundreds running around in state leagues that could step in and play AFL immediately

Surely thereā€™s at least one player whoā€™s a good kick in this mid season draft.

What kind of witchcraft is this?

Freeman just had a 4th straight 40+ possession gameā€¦i havenā€™t seen lots of him. Thoughts?

we turn it over enough as it is.

we donā€™t need another 1-2 accumulator type that just plays kick to kick with his opponents.
