2021 trade spec (Part 5) - Little Bobby Hill got dropped

If Wanganeen and Martin progress, we may not want him.

No. We will want him.

We are bereft of small forwards.

I donā€™t think Martinā€™s progression makes much of a difference. Very different player to Bobby Hill.

You do have to ponder where our list sits come next year.

Assuming Tex stays on (which we all hope he plays and grows), we draft both Daveys (hoping Jayden recovers well), Walla comes good ()

How hard do we push for Bobby? And would it be 4yrs again?

I can see see McCartney being painful, would we be better taking a freeagent Jamie Elliot or Robbie Gray for a year, buy Tex and Alwyn Jnr a year development?

Heā€™ll be a bomber wants back too Melbourne asap

Well, not exactly. Or rather, not necessarily. If Wanganeen comes on and assuming Walla is back, with the Daveys joining (one is predominantly a forward) and Snelling to play small lockdown, then our need is significantly reduced. To the degree we may not want to trade picks for Hill.

We also have two NGA prospects that are eligible this year and are small forwards.

Weā€™re party interested also in the wing position. If between Martin, Durham, Cox and Langford we have the wings and spare/rotating forward role & depth down up, our need for Hill reduces.

Except Wanganeen & The Davey Boys arenā€™t sure things.

Walla might have issues again. Who knows??

Snelling isnā€™t the same type of forward.

Neither is Hill. If he is, heā€™ll be expensive.

The point was by the end of the year weā€™ll have a better idea at which point we may not want him.

There is no proof he will be expensive.

I guarantee you we will go after him again.

You donā€™t seem to get how poor our small forward stocks are.

I thought he was out of contract at the end of this year.

If Iā€™m Bobby Iā€™m putting a price on my head, telling GWS to gagf, and just walking.

He is out of contract this year.

Should have taken Rachelle.

Yeah sorry, Iā€™m not up with Blitz sarcasm at the moment.
I should be on a family boys weekend away, instead Iā€™m confined to my bedroom with covid and itā€™s clouding my wit.

Carry on

Do our VFLW players go into the draft or do we have dibs on picking them?
