2022 Draft Watch (Part 1)

When is the order set - next week?

Aside from culley the big bodied mid, is Menzies the best state league small forward?

From what I can ascertain the order is set after round 11.
So 2 more rounds to play until it’s set.

Cheers

They are saying there are 3 stand outs in this year’s draft, i guarantee we will therefore end up with pick 4.

I remember Dunkley was the clear standout in 2019 and he was woeful at AFL level

There will be a really good player available at our pick. We just have to resist the urge to pick a back flanker with the aim of turning them into a mid.

Agree drafting players that play the easiest position on the ground at junior level is a strange concept.

Agree

Ashcroft could be a flight risk and ■■■■ off to Brisbane

Aceman

do we have room for 2 voss on the list.
we don’t have a mid season pick for a start and we want Culley.

if he elects to stay in victoria and not go there father son, doubt he would be a flight risk

Did say that he’s settled in and sees himself as a Melbourne boy now

Go to the Cox thread for the deets, Hurley should be retired too - we aren’t a position where we can devote a list spot to a guy who won’t be available to play at either level.

Culley will be at Norf or WC, I can’t see him lasting to the 3rd pick tbh.

I really like him but he is a attacking defender and loves to be creative from the back.
I don’t think we need another HBF’er

Gee, he’s a spitting image of the old man.

Snelling was getting 35+ and averaging 10 tackles a game in the sanfl so it really wasn’t out of nowhere.

I know right

Is he accountable defensively and not soft as butter sitting in the sun?

If yes, then there’s room for him

How do you rate Carmichael from Westies?

How good is Menzies from south Adelaide?
