They did play the bare minimum of games against other top 8 teams (7), the lowest in the league. So arguably lucky to play finals.

so they took our soft draw from last year and snuck into finals, of which alot of people are hoping we luck onto next year to do the same, gotcha.

although generally I agree that in this stage of a list build we want to take more home run swings than safe picks.

Exactly. Last year if we’d finished top 4 and needed depth then Constable, Dunstan, Hewett, Greenwood and Dumont all moved clubs. Plus younger options like Brodie and Lipinski. When we need depth it will be available. Right now aim for players with upside.

Averaged the exactly the same number of disposals in 2021 as Lachie Neale did this year (2022), was significantly ahead on both score involvements and goal assists.
