Sheeds came back in 2015 in a paid position in promotion. He came on the Board in 2020.

Iā€™ve got that somewhere, will post later, but itā€™s seats not directors. So 6 elected seats and 4 appointed seats - i make the distinction because if a director occupying an elected seat steps down, then it creates a casual vacancy where the board can appoint someone to see out the 3 year elected term.

People chosen to replace a board member who has quit during their term isnā€™t counted as an ā€œAppointedā€.

Itā€™s the back door way the Board can choose who they want on the board with them - convince a current board member who is thinking of retiring to contest the next election and win (they usually do). Then said member retires and the Board chose someone who they like to replace the retiring member for the remainder of the term. Then 2 years later when they are up for re-election they are well ensconced on the Board and members blindly vote them in. Now they are a voted in board member. Simples.

Iā€™m not fussed if 1 or 2 board members arenā€™t Essendon supporters. Geez it might even be a good thing.

Too early for that info. Once the books close on any nominations, they generally release the ā€˜agendaā€™.
