2023 FF Original Discussion Thread

Sorry gang was out for dinner this arvo.
Tried to switch Menzie and Menegola on field for Bruest and Scott when arriving home, not sure if it allowed the switches just seeing if an admin could clarify

Breust & Scott were still in your 18, so I’ve made those switches for you.

Joe Daniher not being R eligible is criminal. Especially when Peter Wright, Josh Treacy, Josh Bruce, Josh Schache, Luke Jackson and Jeremy Finlayson all have ruck status.

@Dunlop can I put Fyfe onto the LTI please?

Two 3’s in the same game has to be some sort of record.
I apologise for not having Sholl on the bench.

Yep.
That gives you 2 spare spots to use at FAs.

Btw @wimmera1, you’ve got a spare spot to use at FAs as well.

Does @The_Mad_Bomber also have a spare spot or maybe I’m mistaken.

No, he has a full squad - 30 and no LTIs.

Three PB’s and two career lows.

Very happy with how my team is progressing. I made the decision at the end of last season to completely gut and refresh the team, and while the team has predictably struggled for wins, the green shoots of regrowth are quickly sprouting. We have averaged 1258 the last three weeks, which is enough to challenge for a finals spot. The kids are coming on strong, and there have been some breakout performances of late.

Liam Henry has found another gear and is averaging 104 the last three weeks. He was almost on the scrap heap! Tarryn Thomas similarly looked done and dusted for different reasons, and he has come back in and averaged 78.

In the back line Wilmot has cemented his spot in the Lions team and averaged 79 the last three weeks and Hough looks like a ball magnet defender, scoring 111 last week. Chapman has been injured for much of this year, but he has already proven his fantasy bona fides as a running defender despite being a third year player. Ginbey similarly looks like someone who can be relied on to put together consistent scores in the future.

Gulden is putting up ridiculous numbers for a third year player, averaging 110 this season. Chad Warner is almost as impressive in the middle, averaging 95. There’s a host of other young players who have showed flashes.

With a strong draft hand, and the natural progression of a very young list, I think a mid-table and possible finals appearance is within reach next year.

Happy to give @Crazy_Bomber a decent run for his money even though he was a player short. If only Harry Mackay hadn’t decided to turn up I may have been a chance.

It would have been nice if my own Nank the Tank didn’t lay out his team mate Lloyd on 38 too and double blow me and get suspended and concussion. Both will miss weeks.

Was lucky McKay did so well.
