It doesn’t matter if we’ve been one of the worst in the league for injury management (even when it’s highlighted by our own external & internal reviews!), just so long as we can always point to another club that’s had it worse lol
That’s unfortunately how low the bar is for so many Bomber fans these days.
Given there have been no significant changes to our medical department over the off-season, it really shouldn’t be a surprise that fans are keeping a close close eye on how things go this year.
Reid - (Back) “stress” injury, long term (12 weeks, which he is 9 weeks into). Hasn’t started running but is now doing some movement drills on the oval
Stewart - (Foot) Running at a good pace, doing some leading drills. Looks to be moving freely now
Cox - (Back) Just doing modified training with some light running now
Tsatas - (Knee) surgery 6 -8 weeks (aiming for rd 4/5 return)
Weideman - (Quad) back in full training
Hind - (Quad) back in full training
Wright - (Calf) back in full training
Stringer (Back soreness) back in full training
Guelfi (Calf) rehab training, light running, 2 to 3 weeks is the indication
Hobbs (Calf) left training early last week, missed Bendigo camp and only did handball warm up today. Clubs says he will miss the next few weeks of training
Hayes? He’s that bloke you were vocal about not wanting us to draft cos he was a tall. Well here we are a few months on… Can you see why we drafted him now?
Munkara - Hammy recovery back to part training sessions, still needs to improve fitness
J Davey - likely still months away from full training, given training reports and our conservative treatment coming back from 2nd acl. understandable I guess. He would be hoping he gets that non contact hat sooner rather than later.
Fair point but i wasn’t a fan of drafting Ried eithier waste of a top 10 pick on a tall imo. if we didn’t pick him reckon Reid would have slid to a mid teens pick or early second round
