Good effort, but you know it’s useless.
Because if his hamstrings are tight he could be at risk of reinjury
So it doesn’t sound fully healed then.
Thats why hes not playing
So we named a player who was never fully healed then. That’s my concern.
We named a player who appeared to be fully healed.
We did not know whether he was fully healed.
Parish did not know if he was fully healed.
The harder training indicated that he needed more time.
Not that hard to understand.
It wasn’t meant to be a serious comment, merely leaving it up to Ivan. I know him well enough to know he isn’t going anywhere, he is in here like most of the rest of us for the long haul, through thick and thin.
It is called being a supporter, something you would know very little about.
I’ve supported the club for 20 years, financially for the past 10. Pull your head in.
20 years. Bloody newbie.
Pull your own head in, but first pull it out of your arse.
Haha, I’ll give you that one
can’t believe we weren’t paying for an essendon membership while our grandparents were gestating our parents. fk me rookie error.
I think some people would be better off spending their membership money on therapy.
The way some on this site take something someone said once and then apply it for eternity.
The not risking thing was clearly at the time about stopping the winging about the fitness staff and how injury prone star players are. To me it was “back off, if a player needs half a year off when they are young then we’ll do it”
It wasnt meant to be applied for a player who eventually has to test out their hamstring or whatever and make a return.
Just endless sooking no matter what people say or do.
Scott has at least taken the pressure off the fitness staff and let them have a go at their jobs.
Hes taken that bullet for them.
The fact that these soft tissues are almost undetectable at the game or training suggests at least players are being aware. We had players hiding injuries in the past and making them much worse.
If the Parish awareness is actually true then we are doing at least one thing much better IMO.
we know how essendon handles soft tissue injuries, if they just said, like many posited, parish wont be ready for a month into the season and we’ll re-evaluate, instead of hey look dons fans your best midfielder is sitting out against hawks but dw he’ll be back next week. pissant messaging from the club
He trained a full session this week, so they clearly thought he was ready. Why would they tell everybody he was going to be out for the first month if they didn’t actually think that?
They said from the start it will be a week or two.
So it’s likely two. As it stands nothing communicated has been inaccurate.
That may change if he misses next week, which I’m reading as he will likely be good to go.
Those who have supported the club for 20 years have a different mindset to those that have lived through 4 premierships as I have. And cant say I blame them for being p155ed off/disappointed/aggro. Whatever you want to call it.
Fair call. What about those of us who have lived through 6 or more premierships? Either way, if you are on Blitz you are a dyed in the wool, rusted on, one eyed supporter, so support!
