Essendon managers do it to all good kicks. They all become more and more conservative over time.
There should be a stat like CBAs for starting on the wing so I donāt have to try and pay attention to who is on both wings all the time

Doesnāt run both ways, canāt tackle and doesnāt put his head over the ball. Plays well 1 in 5 games.
If you could trade him to a WA or other team, youād do it in a heartbeat.
One of the few capable of turning a match on our list. His Brownlow and best and fairest results would suggest he plays more consistent football than what you suggest. He is also pretty young in the grand scheme of things.

Itās all about development. He was developed on the wing, so it was time to move him somewhere else to develop. Much like our assistant coaches.

I donāt get all this desire for him to play wing. He needs to play where he is most impactful and in my mind that is on ball or or pushing forward. He has outgrown the wing.
Martin is most impactful forward with his creativity and goal kicking.

All thatās happened to this guy is opposition coaches paying way more attention to a dangerous player.
Itās one thing last year at times to go forward and hit the scoreboardā¦ā¦itās got him extra attention cos coaches know heās a huge threat around goals.
Itās just something heās gotta work through right now, itās why at times heās forward then a wing to get him in the game.
Iād back Nick to play well this week, think North went with Tucker as a tag on Rozee, but I think this week they will see Merrett as the game breaker and go with Powell lock down. Good chance for Martin to get freeā¦ā¦take him anytime goal scorer (bet responsibly)

Hes often our best when we are struggling, wouldnāt class him as a front runner. Hes juat been stuffed around postionally. Was nearly an AA winger not that long ago.

Yep, plays well when we lose - McGrath the same. Generally these performances get less credence compared to our bests in games we win - probably because not as many people watch the replay.
