I’m happy to take cheap shots for no reason when my preference is to support one our best and most consistent players who is now not only out for 12 months but just lost his chance of achieving an All Australian selection when there was absolutely zero reason for this oppo player to still have body contact and forward momentum on Martin, pushing him towards the fence.
They are clearly over the boundary line for anyone else who wishes to call my position ridiculous.
Love how you froze the snapashot once they were outside the boundary and not when it actually happened.
Love how you pretend that forceful contact, still occurring post the boundary line that seriously injured a great player of ours is something to scuff about.
It’s a forum to share opinions. You don’t have to agree I’m simply sharing mine
Confirmed ACL.
Thats his half of 2026 gone we wont see him till after the mid season bye
This season can fark right off
Mansell needs to be knocked the ■■■■ out next game
The contact that resulted in his Acl injury was before the boundary line though, and the injury itself happened before the boundary line too. Im not sure how you are seeing it any differently.
It was a bit of a snipe but so what, it was entirely within the rules of the game.
It might not be within the rules of the game if it falls within the definition of charging: “the amount of physical force used is unreasonable or unnecessary in the circumstances.”
Given Martin’s proximity to the boundary line at the time contact was made, did Mansell really need to use that much force (which almost sent Martin to the fence) to get the ball over the line?
Did Martin’s knee twist on the artificial surface? Bit like Jones’ injury.
That’s what I thought, have to have another look at it.
Who cares
Fark…ACL. Seriously, what a bloody ■■■■ year. How the ■■■■ Merrett gets through the year unscathed under the circumstances is beyond me. B!atch t!ts Caroline Wilson has a bloody voodoo doll and has undertaken a masters in black magic.
No blame on the Richmond player, it was just an unfortunate accident t and I’d expect any of our players to be a pest to the opposition in the same circumstances.
Now you’ve gone and done it!
He’ll be ok, he’s professional and will put in the work to get back and playing as soon as possible.
I hope he gets through quicker than the estimated timeline
I wonder if we should go to the Percy Cerruty method of players running up and down sand dunes … strengthened their hamstrings and calves
I’m no expert and I know it wouldn’t help ACLa but may help soft tissue and achilles
Martin talked about following Ashcroft’s recovery. that was still eleven months. Better to be conservative than come back too early.
I really don’t understand the notion of Draper leaving??
Just someone made the comment that he had heard (ITK) that Draper was more likely to leave now.
Ok, thanks but I don’t think he has any intention of leaving.
I feel sick in the guts seeing this injury to Martin. One of our prime movers. What more can go wrong with this cursed football club?
