Needs to kick goals if he is going to play forward. Yet another EFC forward who does not impact the scoreboard. Love his pressure and desperation, but that just isn't enough. Really hope he takes another step next season.
Jeez bit harsh, how many first year players can you say have had a better first year than him?
The heart, mind and attitude are there his footballing skills will follow.

I bought a badge for the first time in twenty years, which was a Bradley Plain one. This time round it was Kommer's and I love how bad he looks in it. It'll age well.
Kommer has a tonne of killer instinct, something which quite a few Essendon players, more skilled than he have lacked over the past decade.
I was the first person to make a thread about him, saying that he reminded me a bit of a Jason Johnson/Solomon, 2000 era type. I was almost right as well.
Great pick up. If he can absorb a passion for the all-round game, then watch out.

Love this guy and totally down to earth. At the same time he’s a ticking time bomb for whacking someone. Can’t believe he got through the whole year.

Love his aggression and determination to win the ball and do the right thing by his teammates but he needs to kick more goals as a forward
Can I just point out and sorry if somebody has pointed this out before, but have we had a better first season from a player (or is it his second?) cept maybe heppell in the last ten years or so?
If he's like this right now think of what he'll be like in a few years with that same intensity and aggression but with 100 games under his belt.

I can’t get the picture of that guy from the Umbilical Brothers out of my head when I watch Kommer throwing himself around. All we need is the sound effects coming out over the PA when he whacks someone, and then the replay in slo-mo with the slo-mo sound effects on the big screen.
