Yes, he absolutely deserves it, but my question is why on the bench? I think he has been brilliant on the field but has also shown again great leadership and strength of character having to play through such adversity this year.
I would fear for a younger inexperienced player if they ever have to put up with what he has, especially if they did not have great personal support off the field.
Deserved a spot in the team outright. He is an all round champion player and person.
