If we aren’t in finals contention any more, I think they’ll do it.

If we aren’t in finals contention they can do whatever they want. They can get Kevin Sheedy to step in as coach for a match as send off from the EFC if they want too.

You don’t “delist” a player like Heppell, ex-captain.
They retire or they leave for another club but you never just cold delist them.

He absolutely did! Added to that, he hasn’t earned the right to play a game at he highest level, and for that, he only has himself to blame!

Also even if we delisted Goddard or pushed him out, it isn’t the same thing as drafting a guy, developing him into a long term one club player, making him captain and then just delisting him. You give him the option to retire or seek another club (which is essentially what we did with Goddard).
With good reason, but you can change.

will get a two year deal, annouced the same day the Parish trade is finalised.
Hope he retires and doesn’t just want us to delist him so he can try his hand at another club.
It’s clear he is done.
Maybe make him sub for one last game.
He is so getting another contract.
Sadly, it was evident very early on in pre season that this was only going to go one way.
Tippa hasn’t been fit for a number of years. He was never going to get in the shape required to play afl footy at a solid level
