I think the club will re-sign him regardless they’ll give him all of this year if they have to and hopefully be fully fit and ready to go next season
Won’t stop clubs from asking the question tho
He’s hardly in a position of strength on contract negotiations anyway
Whatever we might have had in place for him (if discussions had begun) would be off the table.
Let’s just hope he continues trending the way he is and can return to his best footy later this season. And gets signed up again.
I highly doubt any clubs would be asking the question about Walla atm
how do you get to sleep at night Nino?
Good
I heard dogs are offering him a 5 year 3m deal.
You sure it wasn’t 5m for 3 years?
They wanted to make sure he retired a dog
If I was Tippa’s manager, I’d say: “Don’t sign now. Wait till you’re back playing senior footy, then we can negotiate a better contract with the Bombers.”
Lucas his manager I think
In that case I’d say:
“Don’t sign now. Wait till you’re back wheeling around on you left snagging goals from outside 50, then we can negotiate a better contract with the Bombers.”
■■■■ I love scotty lucas (and walla)
There is no pre-season moment that will ever compare to his obsession with supergoals.
If we resign him, at least he will be worth much less on his next contract vs his current one (must be on $550k+)
He’ll look after Walla imo
I don’t see the point in playing him in the 2nds. Not helping him at all.
If he is going to play he plays in the seniors or just gives it away before the MSD so we can draft a small pressure forward.
Agree
The point is, he is nowhere near fit enough to be playing AFL footy. If he’s still keen on playing, then he needs to get to a point where his fitness is at least good enough to play an AFL match. If not, he stays in the VFL. And it’s not about helping him by gifting him senior games. It sends a very bad message to others players at the club that we’d get him in the team when he is easily 6-8 kgs overweight.
We’ve been doing that with Stringer for 4 years lol.
