#6 Joe Daniher - wants out of Tulla on the full

Wanderlust believes Joe lied.

No, my argument was that once the extent of the injury was known, I believe the club managed the injury appropriately.

Before that point, I believe that mistakes were made…on both sides.

Yep, I do. My opinion.

Though lie seems harsh, I don’t believe he was upfront with the amount of pain/discomfort he was in.

It still doesn’t explain why Joe shouldn’t consider other options.

Why would he feel confident the club can manage his career?

I expect we will announce our new fitness lead when their team’s season finishes, which at least means we are getting someone from a good club

People shouldn’t get too hysterical when players leave. We all get attached but that’s the business. I hope he stays, but if goes i won’t begrudge him it. Hawks got over Buddy leaving.

Lions or Cats please. They’ve both had a dream run.

Fingers crossed all of those black and white ■■■■■■ miss a flag.

We need it.

Without reading all the posts, can someone give me a summary of what has happened? I will accept it in haiku format.

Nobody knows whether we mismanaged the injury. Nobody on here, anyway.

But what we do know is that a) our high performance team has problems, b) Joe basically hasn’t played for two years and also potentially c) joe might want to leave.

In this case, it’s certainly possible that those things may not be related but it’s equally possible that they could be.

Because I’m saying that he isn’t completely blameless from the injury management side (if that’s the case).

To use that as a reason to leave, after getting paid a ■■■■ load of money, is pretty ■■■■ poor.

If he was speaking to people in Sydney about the possibility of a move, and that’s what he’s now thinking about, while the club was paying for him to fly there for the surgeon appointment and his salary while he’s rehabbing etc that’s really poor in my opinion.

Man undecided.
Do I stay or do I go?
Swans welcome Joey.

  • Merret said Joe was taking time away to consider his future.
  • Everyone loses their mind
  • Some “in the know” believe his staying and this is bs and either negotiating ploy or nothing at all.
  • Some that don’t know ■■■■ (cough mclure) said hes as good as gone.

I think we’ve tried the Cats rehab team before.

But you have absolutely no evidence for anything that you are saying.

The club sacking the medical department tells me that they are not happy with them.

I’m not sure how much more obvious it gets.

I hope they make the Grand Final and lose by a late goal after a dodgy umpiring call again. It’s the second best outcome every season, behind Essendon winning a flag.

You’re making the link between Joe and the medical team. Joey has outright said he was happy with the way Essendon managed his injury.

What’s your actual evidence?

All this forum is based on speculation and opinions, let’s not pretend otherwise.

All we know is that surgery is a last resort. If they did it last year he might have been back in force this year. He also may have been on the verge of retirement if it was worst case scenario. We’ll never know.
