Lets just put Joey in context. It was a glimmer. It was tantalising, but frustrating.
Matty Lloyd kicked over 50+ goals a year for about 10 years straight and that included years we didnt even make the 8. Not only that, he was a good kick, when he got the ball, 2 times out of 3 he would score a goal.
Joe kicked 43 in a season when we had possibly the worst team fielded in the competition over the last few decades. 65 the next year with a decent side. There were no doubts he was going to be a superstar. It wasn’t just a glimmer.
Dayum gin again.
That’s Michael Myers.
He would rather be somewhere else with his other mates or drinking coffee with his mentor.
First no club tie, now he doesn’t even wear a club top. It’s pretty clear he’s checked out and hates the place.

Joe Daniher is again bound for Ireland with the injury-riddled forward set to visit world-leading specialist Dr Andy Franklyn-Miller later this month in a bid to curb the Bomber’s groin woes.
After consecutive seasons in which he has played just seven and four games respectively, Daniher is yet to resume full training with Essendon, with the Dons’ opening-round clash with Fremantle little over two months away.

Daniher and fellow forward James Stewart visited Franklyn-Miller in Dublin during the off-season, with both having been sidelined with groin issues for much of 2019.
Essendon confirmed to The Age that as Daniher works to progress back to full fitness, he will return to Ireland to meet the doctor in coming weeks as part of the next phase of his rehabilitation program.
Comfortable with the big man’s progress, the Bombers and Daniher have been in regular communication with Franklyn-Miller.
Franklyn-Miller is the clinic director of the Sports medicine, biomechanics, rehabilitation and research centre at Dublin’s Sports Surgery clinic.
He has also worked with the British Olympic rowing team, England Rugby and the Melbourne Storm.

Greater Western Sydney defender Aidan Corr has credited his own return from groin issues to the work of Dr Franklyn-Miller and his colleagues.
Daniher’s ongoing groin concerns continue three months after his unsuccessful bid to be traded to Sydney, with the Swans and Bombers unable to come to terms for a deal last October.
Daniher, who turns 26 in March, will be a restricted free agent at season’s end, with speculation about his future set to rumble until he-signs with the Dons or again requests a move.
Ruled out midway through the 2019 season with osteitis pubis, Daniher underwent an adductor release using the same surgeon who operated on Sydney trio Harry Cunningham, Lance Franklin and Dan Menzel.
“I just want to get out and train and train really hard and provide some real good leadership for this football club,” Daniher said in November as he returned to the Bombers for pre-season training.
"[There will be a] lot of speculation and hypotheticals about what next year looks like but the priority for me is getting out there and putting on a really good performance for this football club.”
An All-Australian and best and fairest in 2017, Daniher was one of a long list of Essendon players on limited duties last week as the Bombers returned following the Christmas break, with captain Dyson Heppell, Cale Hooker, David Zaharakis, Zach Merrett, Mason Redman, Stewart, Jayden Laverde, Irving Mosquito, Will Snelling, Brandon Zerk-Thatcher, Noah Gown and Lachie Johnson all on modified programs.
pfft hatred towards a player.
most of the dribble in here is trying to point out to non believers that people should move on from thinking daniher will and or wants to be at this club.
Jesus if that’s considered hatred, i’d hate to think what real hatred would be in your pc universe.

An important part of @Speedy_Gonzales cited article.
Which many will choose to disbelieve
Possibly because of Essendon’s history of “ Windy Hill flu “.
Possibly because Joe is not wearing a club tie in the accompanying picks
Bound to end well
Poor timing though, should have timed it with Glastonbury.
Rumours of that circulated last year throughout recruiters and co
Happy with that. Need to get him on the park.
Let’s be honest, we are deluding ourselves thinking he will come back from this. At best he may be serviceable … for Sydney.
Another unfulfilled talent at Bomberland. We had a good ol tease there for a while …
The Guinness factory - Joe’s new home.
Australian bars aren’t big enough so he needs an entire brewery to ensure he doesn’t go thirsty.
I’m just stopping by to say that this thread is worse than d/ck cancer
Ok bye

Not sure going BACK to Ireland, for a second time after you’ve had OP surgery is anything to be happy about
Him going back suggests he’s making very little progress after surgery. He’s not flying across the world during the middle of pre season for a check up.
No it doesn’t, … although admittedly, … it could.
Sounds almost exactly what he’s doing according to that statement…
Check to see where he’s at after following a prescribed regime for a while, … and if ready to progress, advice & a plan for going fwd dependent on current state.
