Cant knock Merrett for his season, and barring Gimlet gate, things have gone about as well as we could have hoped. Played well onfield, the players do seem to get around him on the field, and Solomon confirmed Merrett has been great for him as a sounding board.
Might have seen the last game for us yesterday if his injury keeps him out. Such a shame how it has all ended.
If thereās no structural damage and itās just bruising, heāll be fine for Sunday.

I was royally ā ā ā ā ā ā off how he went about agitating for a move as skipper last year. But looking back, he had precious little help, thanks to Dodoro and the drafting masterclasses of his these past 7 years .. except for when Rosa finally got hold of it recently.

I suspect all parties, including the club he wants to go to, have been having discussions.
Hird if he gets the gig could maybe convince him to stick around but even then id say that would be 5% chance.
