Zach and the other leaders were very much against going down a youth pathway over many years and constantly wanted to top up with mature players to “fast track” our success, they over estimated their own ability and are somewhat complicit with the poor list management decisions

He was our best player by far this year. I hate to think how much worse we would have been without him. Can’t blame him for seeking some success with another club, because Essendon is going nowhere fast.

Fans standing up for an ovation before he kicked the goal in the last made me sick.
the captain of the club and wanted to walk out under contract to our rival and fans are there cheering him on with a bloody standing ovation in what would have ironically been a meaningless win putting us further back in our rebuild. Thank god it all worked out in the end.
