#9 Dylan Shiel be right, mate - from July 2022

We tried him as sub once, and he was terrible. Just couldn’t get himself into the game.

Enjoy the vfl Dylan, your time has passed

Good grief no

Shiel had a lot of the ball in the first half but didn’t really use it very well. Some of his handballs went wildly astray or were aimed back stupidly into congestion. HARDLY KICKED IT ALL GAME. Should have starred at this level, but didn’t.

Well Parish is probably playing injured, not sure if that counts.

He has to be 100 % fit or he just goes thru motions. So a couple of vfl games where so so would not warrant a call up to Anzac Day IMO, especially given current squad getting job done. He now on short 5 day break too as all VFL are

I want Tsatas in next week even as a sub, he can pick up the game quite well and he will get great experience

I know it takes 2 to tango but fark me we missed a trick not moving him on last year. Even just to free up the list spot.

With Setterfield and Perkins out we are only one injury away from needing Sheil, and only because Hobbs/Caldwell/Durham have repaid the faith but they are young and could drop off too.

I would have Tsatas playing ahead of him too. If Brad is still playing for the future, its the right thing to play him ahead of a 31 year old ball butcher.

Absolutely. If we are focused on development tsatas gets games ahead of Sheil unless injured.

Who would you rather as sub?

Hind

A fit and confident Shiel is the most explosive player on our list, one of the most explosive in the game. He’ll get his chance, let’s see if he takes it and then keeps it through good performance.

He is now totally underrated. The guy is a star who has a string of injuries and suffered from stupid expectations.

He brings a point of difference. Easily more important to the team than Parish.

Go Dylan

Needs to transform himself into a human wrecking ball mid, to go along with the other physical players. Has the physique for it.

Am a big fan of Darcy but you are right, Dylans speed from the contest is unique in our team … lets hope he starts to hit his straps soon. No Anzac Day for me, another VFL game then in for West Coast, managing Darc as we do have Darcy covered, & if we string a few more wins together, we will need to plan for managing the youngsters for a finals tilt as well

There is no room for him in the best 22 anymore. Move on

If he used it defensively consistently he’d be a much better player.
