Geelong must furious, they’re going to have to cough up for parish now

If we put him on the inactive list, he can come back to play as long as we put someone else on the long term injury list. I guess it’s possible we won’t have someone with a 5+ week injury in the back third of the season, but it’d be a first for us.

No more excuses for Parish. It’s TIME.

Wouldn’t even bother getting him back for 2-3 token games at the end of the year. What purpose would it serve? Just warehouse him until 2022 and make sure he’s cherry ripe for Day 1 next pre-season.

Club elevates McBride off the rookie list and puts him directly into the midfield. Parish is moved to the forward flank.

sucks for him on a personal level.

the silver lining however for the team is, in a development year where results aren’t the biggest driving force, you can now try and develop even more.
parish more midfield, perkins more forward.

Net win overall, as much as it is annoying for him no doubt.

How many years are left on his contract?

16 weeks for Shiel will write him off for the season. An opportunity to develop another in the midfield like Waterman or Archie.

It serves the purpose of Shiel playing at the level and having confidence in his body - Too many clubs warehouse players when they can play at the end of a season.

He can sharpen up his handball skills while in rehab. Was that to soon

End of 2024

Is Saad our only recruit not to get injured in their first contract with us recently.

All the best for his recovery.

What an absolute bust Dylan Shiel has been for us now.

Zac Clarke didn’t get injured

Bad luck for him. He may benefit from a rest to iron out a few niggles. Might be beneficial for his career in the long term and beneficial for the club.

Someone call Carlton…they may still be interested!

Depends where we are at. Tanking for pick 2 then you wouldn’t play him. If we’re sitting on 6 or so wins and not tanking then there are benefits. You get to reintroduce him back into the team which will have started to gel without him. Maybe trail him in a different role. It’s experience that helps us out round 1 next year.

Plus we might want to beat Collingwood in the last round!
