345mm here since yesterday afternoon! The creek below is now a river but fortunately still
below us. Still raining, lots of road closures but not threatened and better off than many.

Been drizzling since about midnight in East Gippsland (against the BOM forecast of no rain when I went to bed!).

Yrs there’s very few traffic lights operating on the GC around Broadbeach to Miami. Trees down blocking many roads.
An example at Miami opposite the popular Piccolo Espresso Cafe opposite the beach. Very sad to see these beautiful established trees come down. Many others have bent over along the coast and likely will need to be removed also.

Had a wet n wild drive from Croydon to Paynesville today.
Hit a massive patch of water on the freeway just past Moe. Aquaplaning at just over 100kph isn’t as fun as it sounds!
Also anticipating I’ll lose power at some point with the winds. Absolute howler atm.

This rain has turned my daughter’s bedroom into a swimming pool. Now I need to get up on the 2-storey roof to see if the gutter is blocked. FFS.
