The team behind The Great Season That Was (1993 AFL Season) have just launched a new podcast series. Their subject this time is the 1994-95 World Series Cup when Australia A captured the publicâs imagination.
I hope they spend an entire episode just cursing out Australia for stealing Paul Reiffel from Australia A for the final, so they could not play him.
Effinâ cowards were scared shitless they were getting rolled, and cheated their way to falling over the line.

Wondery do some great podcasts. They are mostly US focussed but I still enjoy them. From their stable my favourites are:
-Sports Wars - basically looks at night sporting rivalries - Rafa vs Fed, Kobe vs Shaq, Tyson vs Holyfield
-Business Wars - same basis as Sports Wars - rivalries include Nike vs Adidas, Netflix vs Blockbuster, Sony vs Nintendo
-WeCrashed - the story behind the rise of WeWork and itâs subsequent crash

If you have the stomach, or the alcohol, then the political episodes are frustratingly illuminating.
Reagan, trump, the Iraq war, the torture guys, more recently they did one on the Thomas Clarence/Anita Hill hearings which features an unpleasant, and timely, cameo from Joe Biden.
Otto in the attic and the spider-man of denver are some good, strange true crime episodes.
