I’m still plowing through a lot of the Wondery stuff.
I’m liking their scripted drama ‘blood ties’ at the moment.
But I’m big into the scripted stuff, which isn’t for everyone.

Nick Cody is reasonably funny.
I kinda can’t cop their scripting stuff. Really enjoyed sports wars. But their dramatised readings of Rafael Nadal and his uncle talking almost made me switch it off.

Have you tried the 30-30 podcasts?
Been listening to the Once Upon A Time… In The Valley podcast about Traci Lords and the p orn business when it transitioned from a niche industry using film to nearly every home in America on VHS in the early 80’s and how Lords, it’s biggest star nearly brought the who industry undone in just over 3 years. It’s a cracking listen.
I listened to first season of Blood Ties. Have only done a tiny bit of season 2.
Covid has really messed with my podcast (and exercise) routine. I used to get 1.5 hours of podcast time a day while riding my push bike to work. I’m struggling to keep up with what I would usually listen to.

I get more in cos i work a mundane repetitive job where i would occasionally have to talk to someone at work, but now its only respond to teams messaging so still listening to podcasts.

Anyone sussed the night driver. Same team as the teachers pet I think. Haven’t even gotten to the incident and the story is already heartbreaking.

It’s a ‘behind the scenes’ look at music industry scandals, murders, overdoses and the like.
Its worth a look, as there’s some interesting things to learn, but a bit overly dramatic.
Also like a lot of tv and podcasts, I find they take a ‘cookie cutter’ approach. Once you know their rhythm and shtick, there’s only about 25% actual new content Each episode, the rest is just ‘filler’. Found this with The Dollop as well.
Some great pods on the Middle East. ‘Conflicted’ is the best podcast I’ve heard. Doing again. ‘Caliphate’ also excellent. ‘The Other Latif’ not bad.
Listening to ‘Cold’ and ‘Slow Burn’ at present. Always return to ‘Casefile’ when nothing on the go.
Dont know if its been mentioned before…just started listening to The Offensive a mockumentary podcast about a fictional soccer club Ashwood… could be some parallels with efc management!
Came here in March and got told to listen to the Dollop. I think Im half way through them now.

Recently listened to wilosophy the follow up episode worthy Craig coombes who’s currently going though the terminal diagnosis of cancer. Brought up the raw topics of how do you interact with someone with a terminal diagnosis. Hoping for death cos the pain is so much. Being on oxy just to manage pain. Assisted dying.
