Another Mass Shooting, (Just Another Day) in America

Jesus Christ, that’s scary.

Out of curiosity, what’s ours?

I wouldn’t have picked brain cancer to be such an obvious kid-killer.

Kids don’t die often, thank god, but brain tumors / cancer are one of the major ways they do.
I can remember two kids in my year level at primary school that died. They were at school one day and the next day they were dead. There’s often no warning that something is wrong.

The suicide rankings are hugely concerning particularly in that younger age group, as is assault ranked 5th in the 15-24 age group. It’s a sad world our kids are growing up in.

There were 77 suicides between 2019-2021 in the 1-14 age cohort (0.6 per 100,000 population). Almost the same number as accidental drowning (68), and less than half the number in motor vehicle accidents (163).

Obviously it is a problem and by no means am I suggesting should it just be ignored. But you are extrapolating from categorical data.

You will pay a price for that selection of socks and hankies.

Unbelievable.

It’s their right to shoot each other on Xmas day!

It’s what Jesus would’ve wanted

If they’d banned Christmas this would never have happened
