Yep saw that one for about $50 at JB, but reviews were saying that when arriving home the phone will automatically connect to it (and disconnect to anything else such as your headphones)
Sounds annoying as I only want to connect when I’m training

What happens if they don’t match. Does the toast burn or the kettle not boil?
I’m not sure but I’m also not willing to take on that risk! Hahaha.
you can set your phone to not automatically connect to that device
Fair point, it’s nice to use what you already have.
I’d still rate having a Bluetooth speaker as a ‘must have’ for any household though. The upside is you can take it camping, fishing, or if you’re doing something around the house that the stereo doesn’t get sound to can bring it along.
Thanks mate. Also have outdoor speakers in my alfresco for this purpose (and don’t fish or camp).
If my home gym stereo dies then a portable Bluetooth speaker is the way to go.
The new JBL Boombox looks good
Oh yeah. I bought a Marley Bag O Riddim for workplace but it’s insanely good. Huge clear sound and it more than replaces a unit we had that cost $600. I got the Marley for $220 ($250 on ebay but I had a 15% discount). Highly recommend
Yeah I think that’d work. Wasn’t sure if I should get something branded or something like this from eBay
I do have a knack of collecting tech junk that doesn’t work. I’d read up on it. But sounds right eh?
Note this from the description
Bluetooth supports audio parameters…Two-channel LCPM/16-bit/48Khz
Might be an issue with Bluetooth but that doesn’t sound super high quality. Maybe it’s fine for the gym but.
@Mark_of_the_Year howd you go with this, what did you get?
I’ve had to move my floor standers into my bungalow due to a puppy wanting to chew them. Now I have an old stereo, speakers but want to stream from the phone. Which is what I think you were doing.
Yes I still have the Bluetooth speaker, but if this stuffs gonna sit here til the dog grows, might as well let the neighbours enjoy my music while I’m in the shed.
Also, maybe I can kill 2 birds with one stone.
What kind of device can I use to mirror or cast from iPhone to an older tv that doesn’t have Bluetooth built in? (It’s got hdmi inputs though)
And if the same device can be used to cast to stereo when plugged into hdmi input…
Apple TV will do it.
I’m yet to resolve this.
Someone here recommended this: 192Khz BT DAC Digital to Analog Audio Converter with BT Receiver With U5D9 | eBay
But they don’t have power (mains power) and I don’t know what else I need
Vacuum has carked it.
Have people had good experiences with the Dyson stick vacuums? Everyone seems to love them.
If so, which model?
Dysons are shocking. Stay away! We got the Miele stick and it’s glorious… much more robust and effective
I love my Dyson… I have a v11 which is great. The earlier ones battery isn’t great, so I would suggest getting a newish model.
A part was slightly damaged in the warranty period, I called Dyson and they sent out a whole new head within the week.
They are great if you take care of them.
That means washing filters and even taking them apart for a through clean (you tube vids) every couple of years.
I got the v7 and its fine. I also got the aldi one. Really good, but can’t fault it. Easily compares to the dyson v7 if not even better. None of these things have a very good run time, but but we only use them for quick clean. Both are enough battery
Chrome cast would too right?
