I’ll be watching Alien Romulus later tonight which is getting great reviews set between the first two Alien films.
They have gone back to what made the first 2 films a classic

Saw Alien Romulus tonight
While it does play as abit of greatest hits montage at times, mixed with teen slasher, it does it well.
Beautiful made movie, I saw it at IMAX. I had to pick my jaw off the floor at some of the visuals, and the sound design was fantastic.
There were a few negatives that I thought were going to derail the movie, but it pulled it all together.
Despite some gripes and relying on its predecessors, I was very entertained and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Best Alien instalment since the first two classics.
Alien Romulus is really good.genuinely scary and horrifying in parts. The actual story of the movie was very well done as well
The production design is absolutely fantastic as well
Attack Force Z.
Seemed like a good night for a B Movie.
Not such a bad movie if you’ve got Sam Neill and Mel Gibson in it. They barely look 20!
Not from the couch but just watched the Omar and Cedric ‘if this gets weird’ doco as part of the MIFF at Kino.
Well worth the watch if you’re a fan of The Mara Volta, At the Drive in and Omar’s solo music
How was Hartnett?
I really liked him in lucky number Slevin and was hoping he could make the big time.
Was actually excited to see this one, seems like it will be a letdown
The green book.
This won a couple of Oscar’s, and it’s easy to see why.
A street smart white guy from the Bronx chaperones a black musician as they tour the southern US states during the 1960s.
I’ve been meaning to see this. Was crook a few weeks back but ended up watching a few other things while at home.
Def give yourself the time to watch it. I missed the first 30 minutes I think, but it was easy enough to pick up, and I was familiar with the concept of the green book and ‘sunset towns’ but not this particular artists story.
For the Aliens saga-Bringing newt back as a company coverup would have been great.
One of the few best picture winners that I really like. Really good movie
Some genuinely touching moments
Some very funny moments( vigo writing the letters and then them both eating chicken in the car always cracks me up)
the beekeeper was a pulpy 90 minute statham action movie
Awesome im keen as to see this.
Watched long legs.
Feels like bits and pieces from a bunch of movies
Zodiac
Annabell
The nun
Silence of the lambs
Was a well shot movie. Did enjoy
Yeah I watched longlegs last night. Didn’t mind it, but I didnt care for the direction it ultimately took story wise (which I wont go into due to spoilers). But it is wonderfully shot.
I love movies where it makes you look at the tv/screen and just sort of think…fucken what mate? Theres a few scenes like that in longlegs. Unsettling and creepy in a fantastic way.
Not bad at all.
Yeah it was alright, it had a fantastic opening act and then just kept slipping till borderline silly.
There were scenes I don’t think I was suppose to laugh at.
Yeah, there was borderline ridiculousness in it.
Which I wouldn’t have minded but I felt like the first 40 mins had me thinking it was going to be a different kind of movie, it felt more grounded then what it ended up being.
Rebel moon already has a directors cut release of part 1 (3hrs 24 minutes)
Does the directors cut make it more, or less fuckng sh/t?
