I think that I might be discussing this in the wrong thread and should probably be in the " Movies of a more arthouse/Black skivvy wanker type of genre" thread.
After finishing it, I had to go to IMDb to find out what it was supposed to be about…and I don’t think that that is much of a recommendation for the movie.
Basically an unknown cast (at least it was to me) except for a cameo from Woody Harrelson.
General Summation: It was weird and not in a good way.
Probably a fair score. It was quite an entertaining little movie. Having toured through Poland and having been to Auschwitz I felt quite a connection to this movie, despite not being Jewish.
Yep, good film. Culkin deserves the accolades, as does Eisenberg for writing it. He may have been channeling himself quite a bit but Culkin’s depiction of a troubled, depressed, possibly bi polar young man is uncomfortable at times and very sweet at times. Ripper.
Took my 6 and 9 year old sons to see Mufasa in the cinemas yesterday. They really enjoyed it and are now sing the “I always wanted a brother” song endlessly
After watching the original so many years ago it was too exhausting to refresh. Too draining. Glad the remake was an addition for you but cannot do it after the depleting experience before. Possibly one of those things that is benefical once but exacting. Hopefully others say it better.
It could have been so much better. But had that Hollywood BS fairy dust
‘Oh, I know how to hack computers…’ (remember audience, this will be important later)
And when that kid was on the fence and got electrocuted. Enough volts to deter a TRex should’ve turned that kid into a crisp.
