At the movies - From the couch

Should’ve been scary. The kids were annoying, as the almost always are in movies

That stupid girl and the torch.
Should have paid the ultimate price.
The blood s*cking lawyer being eaten was gratifying though !

There’s countless good horrors if you want a good fright.

It’s a family movie. PG 13.

Back when teenagers had to use a fake id or sneak into a M15 plus movie.

Now they all are doing only fans :disappointed:

Yeah T-Rex eating the lawyer while he takes a ■■■■. Why can’t that happen in reality.:rofl::rofl: Gold!

Whose to say it hasn’t?

Is that Trump suckling on Musks breast in the lower right of the Jurassic Park poster

The book is a good read and is far more edgier than the film. As a teenager I loved the movie and still to this day, one of my all time faves.

Perhaps in some other movie.

Think I’ll watch Jurassic Park on Sunday

Yeah, it is a great movie in reality. Some classic scenes and lines. The tech probably wasn’t ground breaking, but it was very effective.

At the time the special effects were amazing! What are you talking about?

It was :sauropod: dinosaurs! On screen!

Agree, I thought the special effects were cutting edge at the time!?

the majority of the special effects still stand up to this day. Far better than most CGI heavy films these days that’s for sure

It was the perfect mix of practical effects and using CGI to enhance it

watching police academy on the telly

the portrayal of some police as racist, homophobic, unnecessarily violent and altogether quite incompetent has seen it age surprisingly well

First police academy is brilliant.

The BJ scene at the podium gets me every single time

Im amazed the guy that could do the sound effects wasn’t a bigger star

My Penguin Friend (2024)

Jean Reno is the only known actor (as far I as am aware) in this nice little movie about a penguin that somehow ends up being rescued (after getting caught in an oil spill) near Rio in Brazil.

Reno’s character is quite reclusive and he only really talks with his wife…the penguin helps him to reconnect with life.

This is a feel good movie for when you don’t want to have to think too much about what’s going on.

I really enjoyed it.
