At the movies - From the couch

Bogonia

Too sluggish. I would have preferred to have the main points covered in the first half and then see what further interesting information to be revealed in the second.

Watch if you liked cloverfield lane.

Now you see me, Now you dont.

Wash, cycle, rinse, and almost repeat the first installation. A three-person amateur crew of dishonest people join the four horsemen—now five—in their antics.

Watch if you liked now you see me.

I’ve seen it a couple of times, years ago, I liked it and have been meaning to rewatch. A couple of years ago I finally got around to watching Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. It was banned in Australia for years, which lent it some infamy. It’s very different from the first film, it’s pretty bonkers and I found it really entertaining. Tobe Hooper again in the director’s seat, Dennis Hopper in the lead role. I watched it free on YouTube.

Actually spent hard earned at the cinema for Nuremberg, not sure if there’s a non couch movie thread. Am moved to write that, Rusty aside, who is always value much like Nic Cage these days, that was the most embarrassing and almost profane film I’ve ever seen. Pretty much Michael Bay does holocaust adjacent film. That they were allowed to use the camp footage is beyond belief. That the director thought he was earning that privilege is mindblowing. What utter, utter burning rubbish. Is this how history is to be mistreated for the next gen? Stick a Nazi robot in there and it’ll be more acceptable. Be ashamed.

Surely the new avatar movie would be a non-couch. 1917 is an absolute must for the non-couch fan.

Sorry i meant at the cinema thread. But yeah i wouldn’t condemn you to the couch for this one either. Laughably bad film

Such a good movie.

Only a couple of bits felt OTT Hollywood style.

Think I’ll rewatch this summer. Test out the new sub

There’s a at the cinema thread?

Don’t think so. Probably for good reason.

The lost bus is up there along with F1 as the best movie I have seen this year. Genuinely tense, nice little story, plenty of emotion

Highly recommend

I like jamie foxx in any given sunday and kingdom. In baby driver i found him to be extremely annoying.

Born on the 4th was pretty damm good. Also interview with a vamp, last samuri & rock of the ages were fun.

He was one of murphys men in young guns. Great cameo.

The Long Kiss Goodnight, what an ace Christmas movie.

Hadn’t seen it it years.

What an absolute blast of a movie, great characters, great action and great villains who you really want them getting whats coming.

Samuel L Jackson kills every scene and Gina Davis is smoking as the bleach blonde assassin.

It would be nice if they played that at the cinema before a movie. Makes me want to revisit a lot of those films.
