At the movies - From the couch

I caught up on The Post, and then the OutPost.

Both based on true stories, which seem to be the only sort of Flick I gravitate to and make time for these days.

Enjoyed them both.

You’re spot on, killing of a sacred deer was unusual. Kid with powers wants his vengeance after his dad dies due to the doc being on the plonk. The kid wants his vengeance however a sacrifice will suffice.
I actually liked it. The big question would be did the family kick his smug ■■■ after his milkshake?

It looked nice and the performances were good but I did have plenty of issues with the dialogue. Very strange to say the least.

It was based on a Greek myth tragedy.

I liked his other films The lobster and Dogtooth better.

Yeah I like those movies.
Kilo 2 bravo seems more real and in ya face.

I enjoyed it. When it Includes a start of “January 3rd - Donald Trump almost starts WW3”, it really reminds you of what a ■■■■ show year it’s been.

I thought it was funny too. Maybe a bit too US election focused towards the end but that was inevitable I suppose.

On the other discussions, I read the Hunger Games before the movies were released and the movies followed the books very closely. Which was a nice change (still upset about some of the changes they made in Harry Potter). I like Jennifer Lawrence too.

Oh and I watched Sicario tonight. Should have watched it a lot sooner. Great movie. Emily Blunt was fantastic.

Currently 1/2 way through Wonder Woman 1984 and fighting the urge not to walk out. It’s only my cheapness keeping me here at the moment.

Utterly horrible movie so far.

Are you really texting while you are in the cinema???turn off your phone!

Theres 2 people here. Think it will be fine.

That’s not the point. It’s rude to do it in a cinema. Turn off your phone

Lol. Get over it Karen. If nobody is here to bother, then its not rude. Im behind everyone.

Nope. This clearly isn’t the first time you’ve done it, it’s just selfish behaviour.

Oh. You have established a pattern of behaviour from 1 post from an empty theatre. You are good.:rofl::rofl:

I also bought my own snacks if you want to sook about that too.

If there are other people in the theatre, and you are on your phone. Your a selfish tool

If you’re just texting and your phone is still on silent whats the problem.

2 other people. Sitting about 10 rows in front of me. And not texting, posting here about the movie. Definitely phone silent lol

While I think it’s poor form. Why stay for a movie you’re not enjoying?

No one really cares about your sook in the movie.

Out of respect to the filmmakers and audience please put down your phone HTD

Who gives a toss, just leave.

No I apologise

2 things Ilearned today.

Using your phone in an empty screening is still rude and distracting (not sure to who though)

And giving your opinion on a poor movie is not appropriate in a movie thread titked AT the movies. At least until after.

Seriously people. Dare I do something serious like forget to wear my mask. There would he hell to pay.

PS. Movie has been finished so calm down.
