When I was at high school it was an elective sport at a small bore club in Brunswick
Not only is she in the senate, sheâs not in the Liberal PartyâŚ
The Liberal party will elect whoever Gina says to.
Everyone believes that Dutton suffered for the Trump links.
So letâs make the literal Maga supporter and DOGE wannabe the leader
This is a replay of James McGrathâs pre-poll bingo.
One thing I found interesting was McGrathâs comments on the Greens.
And another thing I thought was appalling was having Annabel Crabb closer to the middle and Laura Tingle on the extreme edge. And there was a political journalist between them. None of the words middle and right mean political persuasion.
Twin Investment Property Renter Amelia would make more sense if she squeezes through than Price.
YeahâŚbut Ray HadleyâŚso far right heâll nearly tip off the edge.
She is utterly vile.
I reckon their problem is that thereâs a rule-out factor for all their options. As there was for Dutton, if they are honest. If you take out everyone who is an insufferable twat or otherwise unappealing to a broad cross-section, was too involved in this poll disaster (responsible for policy), isnât in a major city, isnât marginal, doesnât want the job (at least this time around), I reckon you end up with a null set.
Ley would seem the least worst, I reckon (and I donât find her particularly convincing, or like her saga role).
The problem the Libs seem to have with their female representation is that their pipeline of possibles, and pre selection process, leaves a (compared to ALP) high proportion of unlikeable Karens. At least Ley is not that (so far as I can tell).
Leyâs horrendous. They all are. Kill it, burn it to ash, stomp on the ash, salt the bootmarks.
Isnât Hadley famous for yelling at Labour PMâs?
They have to choose someone, and most of them come across as Spitting Image puppetsâŚ
Iâve met her twice now. Sheâs impressive and from the moderate faction. She just slashed Dr Ryanâs lead to 622 votes after 2% of the vote count this morning. The postal votes going strongly her way. If this trend continues she will take the lead then itâll be up to absentee votes as to who wins.
They should make dmapes leader
With Lawry as deputy
he can convince people to vote when he doesnât vote.
Heâs also impressive
How good would the bacchusfox abusing dmapes for smiling footage be?
I know nothing about Amelia Hamer other than the renter gaffe. Is she anything like â â â â Hamer was? I was pretty young when he was around, but he seemed unlike the more conservative federal libs - both at the time today. Federal libs would do better with someone like that but a) theyâd be hard to distinguish from the ALP which is right of where Whitlam was by a fair stretch, and b) any moderate small l lib would be undermined by the Murdoch press, mercilessly.
Sheâs a nice seeming, slightly dorky, very privileged person.
And hereâs what you get from Tim Wilson, starry nonsense based on bulshit and ownership by the mining industry. Slimy little creep. Now youâve got your rich carnt seat back how about returning that 35k of taxpayer money you used to avoid lockdown and drink cocktails with hubby in Canberra?
â In my core sense of belief I believe in the role of nuclear power not as an end but as a beginning.
We talked about this in our campaign launch. Nuclear power as part of building the future industrial base of our country âŚ
I am about building out the future [so] the next generation can lift their eyes ⌠and look further to the horizon.â
Spare me you tosser
I dont know anything about her grandfather who was premier. Best to ask @Bacchusfox he will have a view about the that vintage of pollies.
As the other green poster said sheâs a bit dorky but speaks very well and is likeable. Very smart and studied at Oxford (economics and politics). Worked in banking and private equity in London and involved in fintech as a Director. I believe she is 32 or 34? Ju jitsu expert.
Here is Amelia Hamerâs bio -
Amelia Hamerâs first job was as a shop assistant on Glenferrie Road. She then completed a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford University. She worked in global financial markets in London including at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and technology venture capital firm DST Global. Before being selected as the Liberal candidate for Kooyong, Amelia was a Director of Strategy at Airwallex, a global fintech company founded in Melbourne.
Amelia is a lifelong Hawks supporter and keen to see them make the eight this year, as well as trains and competes in Brazilian jiu jitsu.
