I was contrasting an ‘arts’ experience being intruded upon by trumpeting ideology. I’ll take a welcome to country on loop any day over the horror of modern advertising and its subjugation of the captive ‘consumer’. No I’m not a Marvel fan, the films or the stadium, and I worked in theatre for fifteen years. Unfortunately both endeavours suffer from low quality writing and bloat. You terrible snob!

I was at the movies a few weeks ago and the ads just kept rolling on and on and on.

I take earplugs, it’s not just the volume, it’s how insanely irritating they are. Anything that starts with some midi coldplay crap sounding piano and speaks to ‘all of us’ and I want to rip a chainsaw out. Time to buy a fark off home projector

I don’t get the hate. He isn’t a joke, he has contributed a lot to politics. I don’t agree with everything he’s done or his strategies.
But he’s done well to hang on to a Reps seat for so long, when it’s been rare for a minor Party to secure or hold a seat in the lower House.
Most of the Independents in the lower House - with the exception of McGowan and Wilkie also Katter with a local community following - have been one hit wonders .
I for one welcome the choice of a third Party with a strong social justice agenda and which cares about intergenerational equity.
