I was asking for exactly this information regarding the Greens vote a little while ago.
You can see the disillusionment through the ages.
And not one right wing hypocrite on here talking about inadequate sentencing for criminals.
Imagine my shock.
Interesting split for ‘left’ versus ‘right’ (cringe) with many younger folk aligned to Labor/Greens
Some more take-aways from that article
Yesssssssss
ON “dealing with immigration” is surely an oxymoron…
And Battin gone.
Victorian Liberal MPs have voted to replace Brad Battin with Jess Wilson to lead the party at the next state election.
Current leader Brad Battin faced a challenge from first-term MP Jess Wilson, who is now the first woman to lead the Coalition in the state’s history.
Mr Battin had been leader for less than a year, after replacing ousted leader John Pesutto in December.
Rabble looks at the libs and says “could be worse”.
That sentencing is absolutely inadequate
Could be, there’s Pauline.
Last night allegedly Battin told his colleagues that if he was deposed as Leader that he would resign his seat in Parliament and cause a byelection.
No sign of it today.
I’d say he has a safe margin (4.7%) but who knows whether voters would say “a pox on both your factional wings”…
Have not seen polling for his electorate, but the Liberal vote has collapsed in many around Melbourne. Labor vote has generally held steady or a marginal fall, which did surprise me.
Some of Lib vote seems to have gone to One Nation but only 2 or 3 %, most has gone to “Independents “.
Jess Wilson now Opposition leader in Victoria. Smart and articulate and a moderate. God knows we need a good opposition here in Victoria. Let’s see how she goes. Time will tell. The Age seems to think it might be more of a contest.
She’s IPA, through and through. IPA is not moderate in any sense of the word.
Sadly Bill the same people who put Brad Battin into the job, now have Jess Wilson owing them for switching their support to her.
The crazy rightwing religious nut jobs, Moira Demming, Rene Heath, Bev McArthur et al now control Wilson. They lost the recent Liberal internal elections to the moderates, and Brad Battin reneged on some promises he made, and supported bailing out John Pesutto. So these Witches have taken revenge.
I am told Jess Wilson is not dummy and has more moderate views than some Liberals, but she wanted the job and sold her soul to get it. Josh Frydenberg is in mourning.
I don’t believe she is IPA. She’s from the Business Council of Victoria.
Has The Age given up on getting Allan sacked before the next election?
Nice photo, though ![]()
I’ll take your word for it Knackers.
“They said Wilson, who is the daughter of former Victorian Liberal MP Ron Wilson and has strong ties to the conservative thinktank, the Institute of Public Affairs, had “more substance and depth on those issues”
