True but I think the public perception was the she had been doing some behind the scenes work to have him removed.

Disappointing especially as the first state in Australia and one of the first places in the world to give women the vote and to allow them to join parliament. Redmond is the only female to run a major party in SA but was hard up against it at the election for a number of reasons so never got the top job in the state. Libs have had Chapman as deputy until her crooked ways were exposed. Disappointing that Labor has had pretty much ownership of SA for so long and despite having some real talented women aboard they never seem to end up at the top
IIRC, Annastacia is the only female Premier to have won Government from Opposition.
PM&C have never fully recovered.

Victorian premier Daniel Andrews has today slammed Liberal federal MPs who have been campaigning to prevent transgender women from participating in sports along side other women, stating that he has never encountered this as a legitimate concern among the wider community, and labelling the attacks as “cruel” to transgender children:
“What’s the problem we’re trying to fix here? Because I’ve been in the parliament for 20 years, and I’ve never had a school community come to me and raised this issue. I’ve never had parents come to me, I’ve never had a teacher come to me and raise this issue.
And let’s be very clear about something. Trans kids are 15 times more likely to self-harm. 15 times.
Anyone who thinks that this debate, when no one can point to a problem, what is the problem we’re trying to solve here?

I don’t think this debate is doing any of those young Victorians any good, or their parents. It’s not easy to be trans. There are, many challenges, there’s a lot of stigma, and there’s a lot of prejudice.
I don’t think that adding to that is particularly kind. It’s cruel, in fact. ”

It’s a completely made-up problem driven purely by the right wing culture warriors in the LNP. None of the clubs and people who would supposedly be affected have asked for it.

US, Japan and France have increased their maritime support/capacity building in the last few years.
NZ has not had much role, except as part of RAMSI, which i served in.
Some very disappointed ex colleagues of mine with the situation the Solomon’s are in. Particularly those, in my contingent who were there when the protective service officer was killed.

Exactly. Governments have not engaged in rule setting by sporting federations on the participation of trans or intersex athletes, including their definitions.
