I get that Gladys Liu is in an extremely marginal seat, but she does seem a super weird target.

Is anyone going to ask about our record National debt and the Liberal government’s guarantee to not raise taxes?

I mean…I feel like that should be a thing?

Congratulations - that is a great summary!

Some payback for Libs calling ALP soft on China, Dictator Dan and the Belt and Road, ethnic Chinese in Chisholm would be anti Communists?
More direct messaging to Chisholm voters than the Coalition giving a tick to Port of Darwin sale and Solomon Island issues ( which have their own ethnic Chinese tensions)?

Ah… missed them…

I can’t help but think of a woman born in 1940, who was forty years old before married women working more than part time (if even that) was kind of accepted, member of the CWA, volunteered at the church, husband died in 2005 age 70…
How’s her super/pensions contributions going?

Oh, I get payback.
I’m questioning whether it’s smart.
Or whether you can take the high ground on trans bashing if you’re going down that road.

I’m all for negative politicking, I’m just saying that seems like an odd choice.

Edit: I mean…sometimes the gen pub is rather good at ignoring nuance. Maybe most times.
They’ll think the ALP is attacking her because she’s ‘from China.’
Which funnily enough is Exactly what they’re doing.

Aren’t thry attacking her because she used AEC colours for how to vote cards last election?

I’ve got zero time for attacks against ethnicity.

She did have some connections from which she has said she has now withdrawn from, saying she was unaware they went back to Beijing.
What Penny Wong referred to in Darwin presser, in response to Q.
As for Dastyari being called Shanghai Sam, intended to be pejorative, pretty upsetting for an ethnic Chinese with a Shanghai inheritance. Also getting out in front of just about everyone but Trump on Wuhan Covid has been blamed for ethnic Chinese feeling unsafe.

That didn’t make it to channel 7 news.
Instead they went on about the extended lines for public transport.

We need to improve our public transport. Badly. A good public transport system works hand in hand to reduce road traffic.

If the Fed election campaign is anything to go by, the State campaign is going to be very led and emotionally charged.

Oh, I know she did some things wrong.
We’re spoilt for choice for LNP members who did some things wrong.
Is there a Frydenberg attack ad?

Are the ALP really that ■■■■■■ about the things this non-Minister did?
Or is it racially motivated?
Honestly.

Lol. She was born in British Hong Kong.

I have such low regard for politics in this country that an ethnically motivated smear campaign would be completely unsurprising.

Add it to the anti trans campaign dumpster bin fire

Penny Wong was born in Malaysia , in a region formerly part of British North Borneo.

They’re doing it because it’s a super marginal seat they want
