Shorten conceded
They did an Essington. Thought they would just romp it in.
This is what would have happened had they gone with Bill Hayden in 1983.
â â â â â â Hell.
He might be a nice bloke but heâs unelectable. That is now beyond dispute.
Waiting for him to resign. He should do so - he lost the unlosable election.
So did the bookies. And they hardly ever get it wrong.
Stepped down as Leader, ⌠wonât nominate.
Baby bonus!
I doubt he is a nice bloke. Another reason he is not electable.
Paid out a Labor win before acceptances. LOL!
Mentioning trade union on the way out
Union bill
Yuk
Good. Will Worsha follow suit?
But Woosha won
Keep watching, grasshopper.
wow he is a depressing uninspiring personâŚ

But Woosha won
Time won.
Take your unions and Fark off Billy boy!
With the huge swing towards independents candidates, expect the Senate votes are gonna be terrifying. It will be a f*cking nightmare with a number of Right-wing nutters.

I had a spirited debate over this at dinner tonight. Our guest believed that Labor planned to destroy his investments by way of removing future negative gearing opportunities and I argued that sacrificing some potential capital gains on housing investment is a small price to pay to help make housing somewhat more affordable for people seeking to take their first step toward property ownership. You know, property ownership has been good for us and has been shown historically as a sound way to build wealth whilst offering stability. He argued that âback in his dayâ he had to pay 12% interest on his $100k loan that he got after scrimping and saving to put together a $30k deposit. I said âWell, in this day, the poor jerks who have to borrow $800k @3.8% interest after finding a deposit of over $100k would kill for a $100k loan at 12%. And thatâs to afford a house at least an hour out side the CBDâ. He couldnât cop it. Said theyâre all whingers who should just start in a cheaper suburb and Labor was engaging in a class war against good people like him. What was interesting is that financially, we are in a near identical situation yet see the same issue completely differently. Concerningly, he said that most people he had spoken to shared his view and that he thought the co-alition would be returned for that reason. Hard to argue against that now.
Couldnât have said it better myself.
As someone who has his wage increases negotiated by a union every single time, I think unions are a good thing.
And I donât understand why thatâs weird.
Beats being paid $5 an hour while CEOâs make $5 a second, no?
Bill should shut up and let his wife speak.
