I’ve probably said this before but a good friend went to high school with B Cousins.
Thought he was a total narcissistic ■■■■ then, made a zillion times worse by the adulation of sycophants who were convinced the sun shone out of him. No matter how much he ■■■■■■ up, he’d get away with it, and it’d be just one more good story.
Nothing that’s happened since has surprised him.
It’s sad he’s got kids.

And as a father and a husband he is a long way short of being a good role model for his children.
Jail doesn’t seem to matter to him because he could be idolized all over again in there.
Sadly for the Cousins family, it does not seem as though there are 'gonna be any fairy tale endings here.
No matter who you are, you don’t run a habit like his, for the time he has, and have a happy ending. His goose was cooked some time ago.

Yes I agree and at least then his family can grieve properly. As it stands it is a never ending night mare for everyone and sadly either way, his kids lose their daddy.

Wow, the Basil interview with Cousins. Excruciating.
Lying, obfuscating, confused, or just trying to weasel his way out of answering with a clever form of words, but is not clever enough to just farkin straight out lie at the outset.
Why Basil bothered to spend 5 days following this bloke around in March 2020 is the big question for me.
What did you expect. He’s a junkie, and an entitled former star. What you saw is about all he’s capable of saying. And you’d have to know the guy very closely to know if he even knows better.

And; even then, it would be suspect. Addicts will lie and cheat about anything and everything to get what they want. It is part of the addiction and sadly, until a person wants to change and get clean and the percentage of people who actually do and don’t slide sideways into another addiction, is small.
There is a very good rehab in Coffs Harbour for men only it is funded by Adele the singer. Men spend 12 months in and then move into a half way house. They apparently have a 80% success rate and it is tough. I just helped get a bloke in there. Will he stay there? I don’t know. This is his big chance to turn his life around for himself. To learn how to be a good father to his kids and be a good husband to his partner. Those things are learned skills. Is he capable of re-learning them, some people have with this treatment. So, there is hope but there are no certainties and it is tough. If he fails this time, his family have said they will cut him loose.
ps … His family also realise now they have been classic enablers, excusing his behaviours and addiction/s and they have now pulled the plug.

In addition to his children, every time I hear of Cousins I think of his parents. What a painful burden to carry around knowing the likely outcome. Heart breaks

I’ll get stoned for this but you wonder if the family enabled him sufficiently to think he could do what he wants.
My mum is considered a great person by everyone that’s ever met her. But when we were kids she let us get away with murder, and rarely said no. Always making excuses for us. We could con her into anything.
Sadly this may have contributed to where my brothers ended up (would rather not go into it). Yes he’s an adult and makes his own choices, but I’ve always seen parallels with cousins behaviour. Entitled, selfish, addiction issues, expectations on everyone else. Narcissistic little SOB.
