Ben Roberts-Smith Laptop Repair Service

If the ■■■■ launched a GoFundMe then within ten minutes he could purchase his own legal system and a country to run it in.

And a full suite of prosthetic stemware

Scojo is an actual legend. Met him briefly and he was a great laugh.

He also spoke on this topic on the zero limits podcast, who’s host is also a vet and touched on BRS across a few other eps with former SAS/Comando personnel

I found that a very tough listen. It aligns with what I heard sitting with my Son and his fellow patients at the Repat Hospital. It was much more detailed in the video but the Vets I listened to and watched were all being treated for PTSD and other mental health challenges, and reliving events was hard for them. I often left my visits to my Son not being able to drive and sat in the car trying to process that poor treatment of soldiers by the ADF. Most if not all of the Vets in these groups were forced to resign from the ADF, and in fact ordered by their superiors to do so.

I hope this all comes out in the trial.

When my Son returned from Afghanistan clearly a changed person emotionally and mentally, Mrs Fox asked what debriefing and assessment occurred. Most ADF were transitted home through Kuwait where they were given a psychological questionnaire. They were also schooled by superiors on how to answer to ensure the results did not affect their future military careers. My Son received no further support until his behaviours caused him to leave the ADF.

No idea how any of this relates to BRS, but their is a big picture here.

Wait, Channel 7 has stopped funding him so now he’s asking the ABC? Too far ABC, stop using our taxpayer cents per year to fund partisan interests!

The host used the word “disgustiveness”. I’m out.

My brother was medically discharged after a breakdown. But his breakdown wasn’t the factor that really saw him discharged, it was an underlying mental condition that had been there from day dot and went undetected for 20+yrs of service (that anyone who had spent 20mins with him could have told you about).

Their attention to mental health, psych evals, and follow up is very poor. Even my own basic evaluation when I was due to go in was laughable, they barely asked anything beyond my name, what our family did and what hobbies I had.

Hopefully whatever comes of this trial it see’s a lift in the level of care, support and compassion towards those who risk everything.

Bail.

Cool.

Our Son had his issues as well from a young age, but was accpeted into the Army and did well at first. Disclipine was good for him, but once he was in Darwin and then served overseas, the rules were slack and he had severe undiagnosed truama.

To be fair, Dept of Vet Affairs in our case got their act together and now they do offer great support for Vets who ask for it, same with RSL. Problem of course is that not all are capable of asking or have a family who chases it up. We found a great Lawyer who was dedicated to helping Vets get support and justice.

My brother thrived on the social structure and straight forward nature of his role within a system (definitely found it easier once living off base away from the drinkers/party culture). But it seems the stress of certain activities, coupled with his undiagnosed issues, eventually unravelled whatever was holding it all together for him.

They worked with him for a bit, but then offered him his pension and a way out to wash their hands of it. I think he was just as happy to get separation from the adf as well

Haven’t been following but why does the thread title have laptop repair service.

If you google “Ben Roberts Smith laptop” you’ll be in for a wild and educational ride.

PS: I’m not saying “just google it bro”, you’ll just get a better answer than can be properly summarised here.

Tldr: He tried to destroy laptops and hard drives by drilling and burning in an attempt to conceal evidence.

… immediately after being advised not to destroy said evidence.

I believe this title was deemed more appropriate than “Ben Roberts-Smith Bespoke Stemware Merchant”.

It was to protect personal and financial information , and I thought this was the approved Microsoft method of cleaning data from a hard drive. Doesn’t everyone burn old computers with a ceremonial bonfire.

Smashed the granny out of mine with a hammer, took it to the local tip and made sure it was the first thing under a trailer load of rubbish and then watched the council bulldozer push it all into oblivion.
