Ben Rutten - Back to the grindstone (Part 2)

This bloke reminds me of when Mark Neeld was coaching Melbourne. Good on paper but horrible in reality. That’s how bad we are.

I do think that Rutten is in a jam with Heppell.

He made it very clear the problem was with the senior players tonight.

Reckon he would have nothing to say that hasn’t been already said. Matty like us probaly dosen’t care anymore.

If it’s the senior players then drop Heppell and Shiel. Show that you have leadership Truck. At least stand for something.

If Truck did that that would lite the fire in the belly

I have said it before and I will say it again. We seem to be stuck in a Rutt. Pun intended.

Finish him. Finish him now.

no…rutten is in charge of team defence. he’s the coach. its not hard to work out. Gia works to what rutten wants overall and with the backline group as a unit.

Throw money at Troy Chaplin. Took over Melbourne’s defence last year after having the forwards for two years.
He sorted them out in one pre season.
Astute thinker, won’t take crap and calls a spade a spade.
If we don’t get rid of Rutten at least get him the best available.

Would anyone say no to a Buckley and Hird combo with Caracella on the side.

Add McVeigh just to eyeball the softcocks until they harden the hell up

Shiel can’t play, the way Redman was having a go at him on field is telling imo

Do the right thing Ben and resign

As a fanbase we need to admit we are a dysfunctional laughing stock that need root and branch change.

We need a Ross Lyon to come in as Paul Roos type to put systems in place.

We need a brand new list management team who can objectively look at this list woth no bias and make the necessary changes.

Neither is happening with Truck and Dodo.

The club is absolutely cooked.

There’s only 2 coaches out there right now that have the stones to shake this club up and get it heading in the right direction, need to get one asap so they can start assembling their team.

This. I don’t understand why supporters shift blame to the assistants and say this is Gia’s responsibility, this is Cara’s responsibility etc. The overall gameplan is Truck’s, and it stinks

Fixed.

Lol I was like ■■■■ you actually flew there that crap, then I saw it was the TV. I’m glad you didn’t waste your time or money.

I like Rutten as a human being, I’d like him to succeed, but the way the boys are playing is unacceptable and to me, the fact they are literally not doing the things that he specifically talks about as the brand (blue collar) he is trying to build is what makes me say he has to go. It feels premature time wise but I think their lack of effort is reflective of a lack of belief in the system.

Some of the games they’ve played this year are coach killer material without doubt, and last night was up there with the worst I’ve seen, although it’s easy to forget just how bad we were round 1 against the Cats. Round bloody 1. Last night was as bad, Sydney were inaccurate.

Rutten needs to go, as does the ■■■■■■■ CEO who hired him without a rigorous process and with a ■■■■■ handover that was disrespectful to Woosha and achieved nothing.

At least our players are consistent with one thing …… when it gets too hard and they don’t fully buy into the game plan …. they just quit.

They quit for the other coaches and are quitting again.

Another soft, meek bunch of players with ‘great constitution’s’ from ‘good families’ delivered to us by the great fraud Adrian Dodoro.
