When we play a home game against them at Marvel it genuinly feels like weāre playing Gold Coast or GWS, they dont turn up.

Campbell has to go, he drove the handover idea with Worsfold, hasnāt appointed good support for a young coach (he probably thought that was what he was doing in 2020 but clearly didnāt work). On any reading of the football related KPIs heās failed.
But for now, Brett Rutten remains our coach

Not unfair, just wrong. He started with a young list like ours at the Hawks. Whether they turn out as good as those players, our list is not in bad shape for a coach who has authority and the experience Clarkson has. Target the missing pieces - that he would be able to attract better than any other coach in the comp - and itās not at all dissimilliar.

My nephew is a North fan. He came to an Essendon v Sydney game with me at Marvel one time.
He was blown away by how full the ground was.

I reckon the messiah complex goes both ways. For Clarkson to bring this club back from the brink and win flag(s) it would be Reynolds, Coleman, Sheedy, Clarkson. Heās also got the drive to stick it up the Hawthorn hierarchy that let him go, and doing it at Essendon would be the best way.
At the same time, heās the closest coach to Sheedy available at the moment re. coaching nous and being incapable of taking a backward step, or never letting anyone intimidate him. Everything Essendon has been missing for so long.
