I think we will finish bottom last next year. I hope Parish leaves then, so we can get pick 1 & 2.
Other then that… I couldn’t care less who leaves.

Are they the ones who tried or the ones who didn’t?
I don’t reckon. They will be all fired up atm, but it will all settle down after changes are made.
A new coach will be signed up before trade period and new people in key positions and all
of the sudden things will be all exciting etc etc, then most will stay to give it another year just in case.
Nah, we’ll get a dead cat bounce. Nothing surer.
Hence the 2022 draft will be the greatest ever.
But he also said he didn’t expect any further changes. So wtf are we having the revew for.
Same reason any board pays good money on a review, to legitimise decisions they’ve already made.
Exactly, there are some who should struggle to look him in the eye
Exactly. He’s as mealy-mouthed as they come I reckon. His own job should be a major part of that review after the shambles this week.
Good!
“We are having an independent review. Will there be changes? looks off to the man next to him……I can’t talk about that right now”
Also, there are a number of people on here with the “laters” etc…whether he was the right coach or not, whether he was any good or not, he clearly cared, and kept going when it was tough.
In some ways I wish he had come to us . Good with kids
Scope of the independent review:
■■■■■■■ be a member revolt is that happens
The players saying they were behind Rutten.
But when you look at the way McRae and the players interact with each other at Collingwood….we saw none of that at Essendon.
even voss and carlton players
God help us
I don’t see how that will help us.
We aren’t going to get anyone of quality to the club in Trade Period.
We aren’t going to be able to add any leadership/experience.
It’s going to basically be the same list, with more kids.
“Players were sympathetic to Rutten this week, and disappointed at how events unfolded, but through the past two years had not built ultra-strong relationships with their coach, with Dylan Shiel and Will Snelling among those closest. The group largely liked him, but their connections were indifferent compared to that of other senior coaches and their players around the competition.”
I think that’s a very telling paragraph in another great article from Twomey. He’d definitely know.
Yeah that’s true.
(I’ve run out of likes)
I would love for us to get that experience in. To offer strong leadership for the young players.
