Ben Rutten - sacked

Also ignoring performance.

They are some genuine essendon nuffies out there asking for hird to come back as senior coach.

Move on people.

You must have all the people saying “sh*t coach. Get rid of him” on ignore.

It has left him dangling, when it is now obvious to all, he’s gone.

Do it with some finesse Essendon, if you know how to. If you don’t, do something new for you, get advice.

Sad for Ben Rutten, awful position to be in, but a change needs to be made. I don’t think Clarkson will come to a Essendon, AFL and Tasmania stuff will make it not happen. Just cannot try to work out the result of all this, so many thoughts being put forward.

Isn’t it going to happen with a young side? Statistically it aligns with Bomber, Dimma, and Clarko’s early days. And they were all talented sides.

eh, he is a sh*t coach and we should get rid of him?

doesn’t mean he’s not a great bloke, and people don’t like him

Has Grant from the Lunchtime Catch-up finally created an account?

Well he isn’t exactly a good coach now is he?? Is he even a mediocre coach? I would lean towards saying he is a ■■■■ coach based on the weekend and previous performances this season.

Yup nothing surer. If we were actually getting clako Rutten would have been sacked on Monday and clako would have committed to us by now.

I stopped listening to that show once he said a statue of dodoro should be erected at the hangar about 2 years ago.

Head in the sand.

Agreed, very few people visit the hangar. Everyone knows the Dodoro statue should be erected outside the MCG.

I know, I have kept saying that too, but inconsistency happens with young side, not straight out lack of effort. Young sides generally try their guts out coz they want to be and stay AFL players. Can’t remember Geelong, Richmond or Hawks them being this bad as young teams. We looked to have promise last year, but then there was also the WB game.

I’d love to think it could happen, and I’ve stuck fat with Rutten, but Sunday was just the last straw. I can’t see how we can run out and be that bad, when we’ve shown we can play with effort and system for 4 or 5 week stretches. And I don’t necessarily “blame” Truck or the players ultimately.

I think it’s the language people use. $hit like “fraud” and what not. Trucks been authentic since day one - it’s the organisation that’s been fraudulent.

Has been for decades.

Same with some of the language around Sheedy, which I just find really disrespectful and poorly judged.

If you’ve been following the threads as things have unfolded it’s all there. It’s usually frustrated but gutless people who find it easy to hang the coach when it’s just another example of the institution at fault.

Knights went in to have a reasonably successful career at Geelong as the VFL coach. He was put in an institution that had honesty sessions with itself that led to it becoming an environment that even with your flaws you could thrive.

Truck will go on and thrive somewhere else, just like he thrived before he got here.

We aren’t a club you can thrive in, we aren’t a club that’s honest.

The club, Essendon, is a fraud.

That’s not the coward’s way. That would take ginormous balls

I feel ill even asking, but does anyone have access to this?

I don’t think it matters who the coach is. The club has problems. Large problems.

Is it herald sun ?

Indeed.

Our club is completely stuffed and has been for many many years. Unless we make changes at administration level this club will never amount to anything. I think the first step of changing president is the right one, and next we should purge the football department.
