When Terry Daniher was traded to Essendon for Neville Fields in 1978, who knew what a great player he would become. TD had played just 19 games in two years for South Melbourne. The Swans even threw in his brother Neale, who hadn’t played a game, as a sweetener to get Fields. Most of us were upset we lost Nev.

Yeah fair. But it’s like a 100 game definition of what makes someone special - Neale Daniher didn’t make that but he was very special. I would prefer a fully open system and if we want to bring Bewick to the club we can trade for him fairly and equally and same for any father son player
