I expected us to lose this game, I even thought it might be around a 30-50 point loss. The last two weeks have been a major concern, we looked bad and it was only because the two teams we played are worse that we managed to win. I have also been saying all year we are a bottom 4 team, despite doing well in the 1st half of the season.
But i was not expecting that. I am still feeling completely shell shocked by how bad it was. I still cannot believe what I watched after a few hours. As I said, I expected a loss, I wasn’t expecting that.

I know lots of people have said this before so sorry for repeating, but this is such a flimsy list. The trouble is it’s been that way for a long time. Giants showed us up today, brushing off our “tackles” with ease. We gave witches hats a good name. It is soft and I’m sure a joke amongst the other clubs.

Agree, keep them on the list as we can’t cut everyone at once and would end up like North Melbourne, but they can’t be in the best 22. Need to be slowly weeded out
Hayes will take some time to develop so we need to persist, same with Munkara.

It was like they were instructed to lose. Just in the first few miutes after Langford’s first goal:
-Kelly under no pressure kicked direct to a GWS player: goal
-Redman could have taken an intercept mark but the ball bounced off his chest! FFS!; turnover: goal
-Heppel tried for a clearance, under minimal pressure gave a weak as ■■■■ handball that fell to the feet of the player he was aiming at, only a few feet away, then doubled up and was lucky to get a free instead of giving away a score
-Durham completely squibbed a marking contest allowing a GWS opponent to mark untouched, the ball came back a minute later and he squibbed the next marking contest
-the maggots got in on the act too, allowing GWS player to grab the ball from OOB and kick it forward to eventually get another goal
Plenty of more examples of lacklustre play and shithouse “skills”. But I knew the players were already thinking of their trip to Ibeza or somewhere, and I had better things to do.
Surely no team can be this bad just of their own volition. Or be allowed by competent coaches to be this bad.

Honestly, we are a bottom 4 team. For us to salvage anything useful out of this year we had to sack Dodoro in the pre-season, finish bottom 4 and have Parish leave. Two top 4 picks. Nick Watson and one other.
We are still somehow in mid table nothingness with a first selection close to pick 10 ffs.

The writing has been on the wall for a number of weeks. 1 point win against Meth Coke, 9 point win against Norf. I didn’t think it would be as terrible as it was but wasn’t expecting them to get near GWS. Let’s just pray there are some serious changes next year.

Yeah I thought about the same.
It was a 20 goal loss today. I didnt think i would honestly see this side cough that up.
Even if tired and done. (I think we have been really cooked since Ridley did his quad)
Just watched Weekend at Bernie’s, the kids loved it. But it was very symbolic of our club.
The main character, Bernie Lomax (like EFC) dies, but no one notices, because everyone around him is looking after their own self interests, and just doing enough to make it look like he’s alive.
The club is pretty much dead.

I did think we wouldn’t see performances like this under brad because the players would be scared of him. But this playing group legit never let’s us down, season after season, coach after coach, we put in a completely disgusting performance that just has you gobsmacked by how bad it actually is.

I just got home from playing baseball today followed by a function in the clubrooms. Just saw the footy score. I take everyone had a great time today?

I’ve said this so many times that I feel like I’m harping on about it.
But it’s really, really unusual to see a team be flat for 4-5 (or more) weeks in a row.
Usually there is a spike in energy etc after a down week or two.
We looked exhausted at the start of the game.
Wtf happened.

This game is best ever thing happened to this club.
Saying that not in any anger or frustration.
We need a long rebuild. Trade out Stringer Shiel try to get any draft picks we can collect.

Good question. I’m not sure anyone knows the answer to that. Plenty of injuries to key players I guess but - who really knows???
