I wish I was as cool as you.

The guy was armed & attacking police having already killed a victim & injured others. The police had every farking right in the world & shouldn’t have had to doubt just cause to shoot that piece of shyte the second he didn’t drop the knife fall to the ground & surrender. Look at the amount of times he strikes at the cop with the knife before his partner opens fire. You are right, its certain sections of society that have put police in that danger & there are others who believe that approach needs to change including every cop I know. I’m not in any way blaming the officers involved - that having to second guess is exactly the political interference in police work that we now see has real world dangers.

Maybe it was the lack of action taken in the Gargasoulas case that inspired Trolly guy & it looked like some others to get involved. I agree, good samaritans should be stepping aside as soon as the police arrive but when the public don’t have faith in swift action then some will take it upon themselves. The officers didn’t appear to make any indication towards the helpers that they were not needed so to me he/they were extremely brave.

Both officers should be applauded, would have acted a hell of a lot more calmly than I would have… These guys put their LIVES on the line so more innocent people, families, wifes, kids, husbands weren’t killed. Some crazy knife welding maniac trying to run at you at kill you, all it takes it a well aimed stab and they’re dead. Honestly amazing effort. I worry about the mental demon they’d have out of this incident.

The guy who thinks Hitler is a joke? turns out to be a tool.

Who would’ve possibly guessed.

Yes, we should totally implement Israeli security measures, just make sure you’re never in rifle range with a rock in your hand

Ahhh the Saucy we know and love - was wondering how long before this occurred.

This coming from the guy who feels sympathy towards the terrorist.

You got nothing dude.

The cops were falling back on their training also. They are the ones in the middle of the incident and have to make a decision there and then.

They are trained to end a confrontation peacefully if possible, and as a last resort take someone’s life.

They performed admirably.

I’m struggling to think of a way it’s a good thing that a family, maybe a community or workplace have to deal with this.

Someone’s dead. Yay?

Some members of that guy’s family and / or associates might be happy with what he has done. Furthering the cause and all that.

Thanks for gun control Johny…imagine if this rabid dog had easy access to an automated gun today

That all happened in the space of about a minute. Cops didn’t even know the public had been hurt until after he was shot.

It’s a possibility I guess, although the ā€œbunch of LPG cans in a ute parked on a streetā€ MO doesn’t exactly scream organised, trained terrorist to me.

All too soon to really say.

They have already stated that his family are known for terrorism related issues.

The fact you even mention it is insane to me.

When John Wayne Gacy was executed and people were cheering out the front of the prison, were you sitting there thinking:

ā€œWow, I hope none of his family members are watching this. I mean he has a mother and was married at one point, it could be traumatic for any of them to see this.ā€

It’s a bizarre thought process. Who gives a ā– ā– ā– ā– , he is a scumbag who killed people.

Or they could be wondering wtf went wrong with their son, brother, father, cousin.
Unless you believe Carlene Bryant endorsed her son’s actions.
