Three talls forward, unco-ordinated attack in the air. No clear spread across the zone, just jump at the ball.

Zaharakis spent a bit of time loping along in the first half. He looked a bit more desperate in the second half. His leg spread and effort rose and he contested better.

Generally though, the team played like Daniher. Waiting for it to happen, poor effort, immature decisions and general football.

Hooker was much better down back. It stuck out like dogs balls and they were BIG today!

Daniher has been too busy bowing to the crowd and waving to admirers. I’ve lost hope in this guy being any more than a show pony.

And I don’t think he’s the sharpest tool in the shed.

I’ve had many arguments with people on this forum that club culture lasts much longer than the amount of players and coaches that walk in & out of the club.

Nothing has changed my mind on this. Today is even more evidence. No matter how many times we sack coaches, delist players, draft the best young players… there is a soft underbelly to this club.

When we started preferencing character off field over ability on it.

I went to every single game that we played in Melbourne last year, all 17 or whatever it was.

Plus one interstate game vs Sydney.

I’ve barely missed a live game in 10 years.

The club haven’t even sent my my membership card yet lol.

Have rung them, emailed them etc.

I will keep supporting them though.

When we celebrate a win against Adelaide in round 1, after playing 3 quarters of turn overs, second to the contest, and no defensive pressure… yet perform 15 minutes of good football.

That’s acceptable and celebrated.
