Break the swear filter - Review thread v Woofers

Does someone need to get everyone in a room and raise the prospect of saying sorry to Smith and sorry to Stringer for choosing the wrong club? They’re not going to see a lot of success here but hey, we’re a big club. Famous. Sorry for drafting you McGrath. You’ll see days where it all comes together but too many days when we just turn up asleep. Or, is it true what they say about players these days. You can’t be negative or they drop their heads and you’ve lost them?

Mate, I have been watching Bombers games and footy in general for 30+ years and I have no idea what our game plan is this year…

Sideways action
Hospital ball hand passes
No shepparding what so ever
Always have your uniform clean
Playing in your backline will win games
Hand passing into the goals will award 6 points
Kick to a pack not to anyone in particular.
Forget qtr time half time and 3qtr time oranges
Never rely on your captain to take the game by the scruff of the balls.

If we ever do get Clarkson though, I want all the walls in the rooms remade with reinforced concrete.

Wonder how your Instagram pics will look…

Pretty much the knights game plan with a bit more talent

That’s the only way the club will listen! As said above, we are not a club anymore, we are a brand

We are already 15 years into “Richmond like sh!tness”.
Yesterday was just another steaming turd in the bowl.

It’s been a long time since I played footy and basically my coaches game plan was get the ball and kick it up the guts. Maybe Woosha should try that.

In any case, it was not hard to see the Bulldog game plan which they were allowed to do unhindered for three and a half quarters. Maybe Woosha needs to sit with us, so we can point it out.

The only time we looked like a team was when Hooker went back, or Walla or Smith were in the middle. I despaired to see a centre bounce with TBC, Goddard, Myers and Heppell. Players with a little bit of speed like Walla, Smith, Zaka, Zerrett and even Stringer were either on the bench or on the defensive side of the centre square.

Hooker has been very good up forward, but he looked better down back.

The sad thing about yesterday is that any real Essendon supporter could have seen that result coming from a mile away

What a fking waste of a Sunday afternoon

Im gutted.
Have to switch off, cant go next week for the fear of watching that effort again.
Worried about Anzac day.
Cant see us beating Melbourne.

No hope.

That brain fart by Joey late in the game unfortunately encapsulates what this club has been all about the past 15 years.

The execution of the most basic of skills is beyond the players of this club, whether it be under pressure or no pressure at all.

To try and attempt a handball in front of you whilst both feet are stationary together to the feet of a team mate less than 5 mtrs away, whilst being only 10 mtrs from the goal line, sums up this club’s fundamental onfield problem.

To even make a ridiculous decision like this in the first place and then to attempt to pull it off without even trying to use the correct technique is beyond farcical.

I’m actually glad that it did happen and that we didn’t pull off another miracle come from behind win as that would’ve further papered over gaping holes in this list’s gameplan and problems that we have that need to be addressed urgently.

I reckon a number of us on here would’ve been angrier had we pulled off that win than coming away with a deserved loss. In fact I walked away from the game last night as if it were a 50 pt loss as it felt that way for most of the match we were that comprehensively beaten save for the Doggies inaccuracy.

Pretty much this. I’ve switched off, feel better for it.

Blitz helps

There isn’t one side in the Comp that right now I reckon we would beat.

I’d be happy if we could just win the Ansett cup.

I thought the same thing as we battled to get it outside D50 and when the roles were reversed they just waltzed through ours.

From what we’ve seen, it needs more work than I’ve got time left on this planet (and that’s hopefully at least 40 years). It’s time to simplify and get back to basics.

I wasn’t happy about yesterday’s loss, very disheartening, but as the OP says, probably the most predictable loss one could have predicted using past history as a guide. But some of the comments in here indicate we seem to have become Richmond supporters in the process.
