Don’t be guttered man, it’s a drain.

Horrible horrible news.
I’m glad I got to see them live at their sideshow to Soundwave a few years ago with Stone Sour, was an exceptional gig.

amazing voice.

Not likely to send the same size shockwaves as Chester Bennington, but God also plucked Simon Holmes of The Hummingbirds in the last few days for his great gig in the sky. Similarly devastating and unexpected circumstances (if you get my drift) to Bennington too. Very, very sad.
The Hummingbirds were a great band! Chronically under-rated by the great unwashed, but getting the legendary Mitch Easter to produce not one but two of their albums shows how well they were regarded in the industry.
RIP…

Saw LP live several times and had the pleasure of interviewing Chester on my radio show back in the day as well, really nice guy.

Another hanging, wow

Shocked

Damn :slightly_frowning_face:
I saw the Trivium IG account posted a picture of him and thought someone had photoshopped his face onto Matt’s body (their ink is similar) then looked at the comments and realised what had actually occurred

All AFLX games will have a minute’s silence for the passing of the Linkin Park guy

John Heard, the father from Home Alone, gone at 72.

A truly great artist

RIP Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu

What a shame. Always loved watching The World Game on Sundays

Is Tony Palumbo still around?

Loved his book ā€˜by the balls’.

From his family’s struggle to get to Oz to being the face/voice of football media in Oz, or as he loved to call it his book, ā€˜the beautiful game’ and much to his dismay could not understand why the game was not embraced here as it is in the rest of the world. Kept on pushing it though.

RIP Les Murray. Will be missed by many.

I loved listening to him and I wasn’t even a fan of soccer.

It’s because the participants fall over if the wind blows.

RIP Les.

Les Murray was one of the first things I even remember about Soccer…sad he never saw us become too much.

He saw the Socceroos blossom and getting out of the group stage in 2006 was one of his proudest memories.

Had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of times back in the NSL days and he was so passionate about soccer and was as down to earth as you would ever meet. Bumped into him several years later in Kaiserslautern at the 2006 WC. Hungover as buggery I staggered into a cafe the next morning still in my Socceroos jersey and next thing I know Les and a couple of the other SBS boys sided up next to us and started talking about the game. Chatted for about a hour about all things soccer before they had to get on the train to the next venue. He had some absolute brilliant stories to tell and said that the win against a Japan was close to the proudest day of his life, he just wanted to see soccer succeed in this country.
Les and his best mate Johnny are finally back together again
